A UNESCO world heritage site and truly a natural wonder – Halong Bay is made up of over 3000 limestone karsts that soar skyward out of calm emerald waters. Within the islands of the Bay, there are hundreds of beautiful caves, including many famous names such as Thien Cung, Dau Go, Sung Sot, Tam Cung, and Bo Nau. Some of them are archaeological sites retaining tangible archaeological evidence of Soi Nhu and Ha Long prehistoric cultures such as Soi Nhu, Me Cung, Tien Ong, Thien Long, Hang Trong, and Trinh Nu caves. The name Ha Long Bay is literally translated as “Bay of Descending Dragons”. A legend has been handed down in the local area relating to the name Ha Long Bay, which says: “Long ago, in the first founding days, the Viet people were attacked by foreign aggressors. The Jade Emperor sent the Mother Dragon and a herd of Child Dragons to help the Viet fight the invaders. While the enemy vessels were launching massive attacks against the mainland, the dragons descended in flocks from the sky. They spat out innumerable pearls that, in a moment, were changed into innumerable jade stone islands linked together into firm citadels that checked the enemy’s advance and smashed their vessels into pieces. The Viet won at last! After the invaders were driven out, Mother Dragon and her Child Dragons did not return to Heaven but stayed on earth, right at the place where the battle occurred. The spot where the Mother Dragon landed was Ha Long, and where the Child Dragons came down was Bai Tu Long. The place where their tails violently wagged was called Long Vi, the present-day Tra Co Peninsula with its soft sandy beach stretching dozens of kilometers.

ITINERARY
8:00 - 8:45 Pick up at hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter/Opera House, depart for Ha Long Bay
Our journey follows the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Tuan Chau High-way. It takes about 3 hours to drive and we will stop on the way for a break about 20-30 minutes.
12:00 Arrive at Tuan Chau Port, board the luxury Cruise with a warm welcome from the crew
Enjoy a welcome drink then start exploring the beauty of the world heritage
12:30 Enjoy Vietnamese lunch on the cruise. While having lunch, the cruise will pass by the beautiful scenery on both sides with thousands of limestone islands such as Hon Ga Choi and Hon Lu Huong - 2 symbols of Ha Long Bay
14:00 Arrive at Bo Hon Island, and you will visit Sung Sot Cave - the most beautiful cave with lots of stalagmites and stalactites
14:45 Kayak or bamboo boat through Luon Cave to explore the beautiful lagoon.
15:15 Visit TiTop Island with white sand beach. You can swim here or walk to the top of the island to see the whole Ha Long Bay
16:30 Return to the boat to join the sunset party with wine, tea, fruits and cookies, while the boat is moving back to the harbor
18:00 - 18:15 Return to the harbor. Then, get on the bus and return to Hanoi
21:00 Drop off at the hotel. End of tour !
